Dr. Ralph Stanley Style Banjo Strap
Henderson Leather Straps' exclusive "Dr. Ralph Stanley Banjo Strap" is the perfect treat for a bluegrass lovin' banjo picker!
You will receive an entirely handmade, genuine leather banjo strap very similar to the one Dr. Ralph Stanley used for many years.
Each strap features a beautiful rustic leaf design, and can be personalized with your choice of lettering (a name or initials is the most common choice). The lettering comes standard in the color natural/tan.
As Dr. Ralph Stanley favored, this strap attaches by chap snaps, but these are removable and we can ship with a standard Chicago screw-loop attachment if you prefer.
Each strap is around 52 inches long, and is 1 inch with a 2 1/2 inch shoulder pad for added style and comfort. This strap is a few inches shorter than our basketweave banjo straps to accommodate wearing it over only one shoulder the way Ralph Stanley did. If you are tall and/or prefer wearing over both shoulders you may want to add a couple of inches. Please contact us if you would like a different length.
Each of our straps is made of full grain vegetable tanned leather. Because we use full grain, meaning the leather remains completely intact with only the hair removed, the original quality, character, and strength of the leather remains.
