We love our JD Crowe and Dr. Ralph Stanley style banjo straps, so we decided to combine some of our favorite elements of each to make this beautiful but functional custom banjo strap!
You will receive an entirely handmade, genuine leather banjo strap.
Each strap can be personalized with your choice of lettering and letter color (a name or initials is the most common choice).The lettering color in the "Jackie" strap is rose gold and "Foster" is gold, but we also offer tan, black, brown, white, or silver, blue or red.
This strap attaches by chap snaps, but these are removable and we can ship with a standard Chicago screw-loop attachment if you prefer. The chap snaps come standard in the silver color, unless you choose gold or rose gold lettering in which case we will ship with gold/brass colored chap snaps.
Each strap is around 52 inches long, and is 1 inch with a 2 1/2 inch shoulder pad for added style and comfort. This strap is a few inches shorter than our basketweave banjo straps to accommodate wearing it over only one shoulder the way Ralph Stanley did. If you are tall and/or prefer wearing over both shoulders you may want to add a couple of inches. Please contact me if you would like a different length.
Each of our straps is made of full grain vegetable tanned leather. Because we use full grain, meaning the leather remains completely intact with only the hair removed, the original quality, character, and strength of the leather remains. Henderson Leather Straps' exclusive "Dr. Ralph Stanley Banjo Strap" is the perfect treat for a bluegrass lovin' banjo picker!
You will receive an entirely handmade, genuine leather banjo strap very similar to the one Dr. Ralph Stanley used for many years.
Each strap features a beautiful rustic leaf design, and can be personalized with your choice of lettering (a name or initials is the most common choice). The lettering comes standard in the color natural/tan.
As Dr. Ralph Stanley favored, this strap attaches by chap snaps, but these are removable and we can ship with a standard Chicago screw-loop attachment if you prefer.

Henderson Leather Straps' Two-Tone Banjo Strap is a one of a kind design featuring a beautiful western pattern set off by the brown and tan coloring. It is entirely handmade, designed by a musician for maximum style and comfort.
The 2 1/2 inch wide shoulder pad has a natural leather back, providing a soft and comfortable grip so you can play often and long! Each strap is around 52 inches long, and is 1 inch wide. This strap is a few inches shorter than our basketweave banjo straps to accommodate wearing it over only one shoulder. As I personally favor, this strap attaches by metal clips (chap snaps), but these are removable and we can ship with a standard Chicago screw-loop attachment if you prefer. Please choose which attachment option you prefer in the options below.
